Depends: Certain finger and hand (metacarpal) fractures are stable enough for sport, as long as the injury is adequately protected (brace, splint or buddy taping) and the fracture is stable. The only way to know is with a physical examination and x-ray evaluation. See your doctor.

Any finger fracture : May be stable enough or in a location that playing a sport is permitted but much depends upon the individual, what their role is, and the fracture. For example a minor finger tip fracture in and adult in a gloved sport such as hockey or lax vs a second row who can't grip and the whole scrum collapses. I guess the question is can you unzlershanrii play rugby with a broken finger...Depends.

Depends.: Depends on the type and location of the break. See an orthopedic hand specialist. Some fractures that violate the joint surfaces can be serious and require special treatment.
