Can you get a tattoo if you are about to have surgery?

Don't: It is better to wait, as the body is under increased strees in the time before, after and during surgery.

Tattoo: What type of surgery? Tell your surgeon your plans and follow the instructions. In general i would not recommend a tattoo right before or right after surgery. A tattoo requires thousands of violations of the skin with the implanting of ink within the skin. This can increase the bacterial load in your system and increase your risk for infection. I would not to it if it were me.
