No: You are thinking of radial keratotmy, or rk, an older technique pretty much abandoned since the advent of laser vision correction / lasik. Laser reshapes cornea without deep cuts or scars.

No: In lasik, a circular flap is created and then lifted up to expose the corneal stroma. Then laser is applied and the flap replaced. The procedure where cuts are made on the cornea like a pizza (radial) is called radial keratotomy or rk. It is an older procedure and not performed much anymore because of late onset regression and irregular astigmatism.

No: Your description of "pie cuts" sounds like an outdated procedure called radial keratotomy. In lasik, a round flap is made which is lifted to allow laser vision correction and then the flap is returned to normal position.

No: They don't cut the eye vertically like a pizza, but horizontally, parallel to the surface of the cornea to create a flap. This flap is folded over itself, then the remaining cornea is thinned with laser, then the flap is folded back into place like a hinged door.
