Why do i have high levels of liver enzymes after the flu and fevers?

Liver working: Liver cells can be infected by viruses, resulting in the death of these cells and the subsequent leakage of liver enzymes. Alternatively, liver cells produce proteins needed to fight infections, including c-reactive protein and a sedimentation rate.
