Death by antihist: Doubtful. Allergists commonly prescribe much higher doses for severe allergy and hives. I always recommend you stick to recommended doses of otc medications unless prescribed by a physician since they have been well thought out to balance the effectiveness vs side effects of the drug. In the case of Cetirizine higher doses may increase sedation.
