Yes, many doctors do: Shingles is well within the domain of the dermatologist - but also treated by most family doctors and internists. Sometimes people go to urgent care clinics because symptoms can be quite severe. An er visit will cost you way too much - particularly for a problem that can easily be treated in the office.
