Nope--you misunderst: Shingles almost always follows one single nerve. If your body is completely covered you either have chicken pox or your immune system is so shot you're in the icu.

Correct: Your dermatologists suspicions for not being shingles is correct as shingles in general affects one area and one side of the body.
