A member asked:

Does blood clot at tick bite site?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

It depends: If the tick is still attached, the tick will be secreting enzymes so the blood does not clot and you don't feel the tick bite. Once it has detached, the normal response of the body would be to start clotting. If your blood is slow to clot and you have other symptoms such as bleeding gums after brushing your teeth or easy bruising, you should probably be evaluated by your primary care physician.
