When dealing with brain tumors what does stable mean?

No apparent growth: 'stable' in this context usually is used to say that on a new imaging scan, such as mri, the tumor appears to be the same in size and signal character as it did previously: it neither grew nor shrank.

Brain tumors: The term "stable" is used when there is no sign of growth in the tumor.
