It has many possible causes: menopause, Morgellon's Disease, allergies, skin cancer, syphilis, diabetic neuropathy, Lyme Disease, Herpes Zoster, pesticide exposure, mercury poisoning, alcohol withdrawal, medication /drug use such as: amphetamines, cocaine, Adderall or Ritalin (methylphenidate).
