Vinegar use?: Vinegar is a liquid consisting mainly of Acetic Acid and water. As an acid, it does nothing to treat heartburn. If your husband has chronic heartburn, he should see a physician to see if he has reflux esophagitis or an ulcer of his stomach causing his symptoms and get treated for them.
