I took prilosec for a long time, and i finally doing better because i started taking apple cider vinegar gummies. i have been taking them for two months once a day. i don't have all of the heartburn symptoms that i used to have. is it safe to do so?

There is no data on safety of apple cider vinegar on the esophagus. I'm leary about it as it's an acid! I don't recommend it. Prilosec doesn't stop reflux but it protects the esophagus from acidity but check with your MD or a gastroenterologist about longterm use of prilosec for your particular condition. Perhaps intermittent use of famotidine, carafate, mylanta is a good alternative.
