Likely tonsillitis: This could be due to several acute illnesses like viral pharyngitis, tonsillitis., strep throat etc.Sometimes it could lead to a condition called quincy or peritonsillar abscess , when one tonsil is pushed forward and patient feels a lump in the throat. Will get her checked their pediatrician.
