Thanks for asking!: If you are on diuretics then your total fluid restriction should be < 1 to 1.5 l per day. This applied to all kinds of fluids. Salt containing fluids/beverages are completely restricted.

Not really!: Actually, unless your kidneys don't work well, restricting your fluid intake is not nearly as important as restricting your salt (sodium) intake. Diuretics work by increasing excretion of salt via the kidneys into urine. Not water. Water tends to leave with the salt, but it's the salt that leads to fluid retention in the first place. Restrict your salt intake and your body will not retain fluid.
