Paronychia?: It's called a paronychia. Localized infection. Needs antibiotics and warm soaks. Biting or pulling hang nails might be the cause.

I have not had an accident that i know of but my finger has swollen over and on the side of my nail it is very sensitive it had some pus on it i drained that and it felt better for a few days but it has gotten back to hurting again
