Podiatry vs Ortho : Either can be well trained for ganglion cyst excision which is a routine procedure. I would do your typical diligence to make sure they are reputable, board eligible/certified, and recommended by colleagues. Finally, i would make sure the procedure is done in a reputable sterile setting to minimize chance for infection.

Depends: Where is the location of the ganglion? Most are located on the wrist and some located at the located at ankle level. An orthopedic, hand, or general surgeon can handle a ganglion cyst.
