I have a 5cm ovarian cyst with a trace of free fluid, how can i treat it?

Cyst: The cyst may resolve by itself with no particular intervention. I would recommend a follow up ultrasound in 1 - 2 months. Sometimes they will resolve on birth control pills. If the cyst persists, it may need to be removed laparoscopically - an operation with small incisions.
