Off label use: That said, consider for the relief of acute pain in adults and adolescents =14 years of age, the recommended dose is 500 mg as an initial dose followed by 250 mg every 6 hours as needed, usually not to exceed one week. This medication will not cure toothache, eliminate the infection. It will only mask symptoms for short time. Best advice, see your dentist now!

Not ideal medication: Even though there are better nsaids for toothache the initial dose should be 500mg and then 250 every 6 hours. Do not exceed 7 days.
