can hot cheetos raise glucose levels fast?

1 doctor answer
Dr. Charles A Bryant

Diabetes food choice: Any process carbohydrate (starch or sugar) like cheetos etc will cause rapid rise and fall of blood sugar. A better choice would be a moderate amount of string cheese, fruit or a few nuts - almonds, pistachios, peanuts.

Why raise it?: You need to know the real level of blood sugar which varies from fasting levels to post-prandial levels(after eating food it goes up).
