Depends : Initial post op period, stay of softer foods and avoid really rough foods like broccoli, salads etc. Some people can have issue w bread and hard meats like pork steak etc. Carbonate beverage can cause bloating and cramping. Eventually, 2-3 months out most people eat pretty normal.

As tolerated : It's unclear why you would have a tif procedure and a hiatal hernia repair instead of the standard fundoplication and hernia repair, but either way, your diet should be as tolerated. If the food or beverage are difficult to swallow, or make gerd symtoms worse, avoid that in the future.

Reflux surgery diet: I recommend a clear liquid diet for 7 days followed by 7 days of pureed foods. Next, patients begin a soft diet and slowly return to a normal diet. Carbonated beverages, chewing gum and straws should be avoided indefinitely. Ask your surgeon for his/her recommendations for your situation.
