Go to ER: Sounds like a serious problem that may be related to circulation or infection. You need immediate evaluation and treatment. I recommend you go to the emergency room or your pcp if can get in immediately.

If truely black: In color i would treat as emergency and go to er asap.

Depends: Depends on what your natural color is. If you have vascular disease or an open wound with black color, then go to the ed for possible gangrene infection. If it's just swollen, like a bruise, just make a regular appointment with your pcp. Good luck.
