Are tumors on pancreas always fatal?

No: Pancreatic adenocarcinoma is often fatal by 5 years unless it is caught very early. This is difficult, because early pancreatic cancer is not the norm. There are other types of cancers that develop in the pancreas (neuroendocrine cancers) that are not fatal.
