My guess is that: Your mother hurt you in some way growing up. You may be angry and unwilling to forgive her. Even if you cannot forgive her, caring anger towards a parent for 47 years is harmful to you and may impact on your ability to love other women or men for that matter. Contact a psychologist and work on whatever happened to lead to your feelings towards her.
