See a Podiatrist: If you have a purple toe that you think is blood, you should see a podiatrist. It may be a contusion. It could be related to taking certain medications. It could also be a serious problem like an infection or a fracture.

Many causes: First you should get it checked by pcp but could be caused by blood flow issues to leg and foot. Tests will be ordered and likely seen by vascular surgeon or cardiologist. Have any recent changes in your heath occurred?
