It is best not to: Pop blisters from chiggers. Wipe them off with a cloth and warm soapy water.

Will chiggers be seen?

Usually not: The missouri dept. Of conservation says chiggers are baby mites that can only bite through areas of thinner, tender skin. Chiggers bite to inject saliva to dissolve flesh and eat it up. They do not suck blood nor burrow into the skin. They are less than 1/150th of an inch, so are almost invisible, but several together can look like a red dot. Many can be on a person at one time.

What is the difference between chiggers & ticks?

Dr. M. Christine Lee

Mite vs. arachnid: Ticks are arachnids (in the same class as spiders and scorpions) and small but visible to the naked eye. Chiggers are mites and too small to be seen. Tick bites usually occur with one tick while chiggers occur in bunches. Ticks spread dangerous diseases such as lyme disease and rocky mountain spotted fever. Chigger bites are very itchy and annoying but don't spread dangerous illnesses.

Is it safe to pop a chigger bite bubble?

I would not: Anytime you break the skin, you risk infection. If is pops on its own, then watch for signs of infection otherwise, i'd let it be and heal on its own.
