Detached toenail is a good reason to go to er?

Yes, if acute injury: If the nail has just been injured then yes, go to er or call podiatrist and see if you can be seen as an emergency. If nail is just loose then keep a bandaid over it until you can see a podiatrist. If infected, do not mess with it, go to er, urgent care or podiatrist.

Maybe: If the toenail is detached because of fungus probably not but if you have an underlying condition like diabetes and it was traumatized its probably a good idea.
