Yes: Swelling in the foot can be commonly seen after injuries. This can be from unrelated medical causes or generally due to poor circulation, inflammation at the injury site or constriction from a brace or cast. However, sometimes you can get a clot in your leg after an injury that can cause swelling in the injured or uninjured extremity, go to er to rule out a clot. This can be serious and even fatal.
