Does bicarbonate (sodium bicarbonate) of soda stop smelly feet?

It's helpful: Baking soda does mask odors. It is commonly used in the refriderator. However, for the feet, charcoal insoles are recommended as well as the use of a foot powder. This will absorb moisture, contributing to the odor.

Smelly feet: Yes. The medical term for smelly feet is bromohydrosis. Foot odor is most commonly caused by excessive perspiration(hyperhydrosis). Fungus and bacteria live in a dark, warm and moist environment. Bicarbonate (sodium bicarbonate) soda helps to neutralize the ph of the feet and therefore may eliminate the odor. Antiperspirant spray best to decrease the moisture! preferably all natural type.
