Does a bicarbonate (sodium bicarbonate) soda paste get rid of thrush?

Depends: Sodium bicarbonate (sodium bicarbonate) does fight yeast if that is what is causing the thrush. So technically it could if that is the cause.

No: All bicarb does is change the ph of your mouth briefly. Yeast are pretty hardy little dudes, and don't really care if you try to go at them with acid or alkaline environment - they will likely survive all of that. Best to get the appropriate medicine and treat it right.
