A member asked:

Green discharge after cervical biopsy, why?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Chemicals: The cervix and vaginal area produce mucus when irritated. This causes a discharge while healing occurs. The biopsy frequently causes some bleeding and this is stopped by applying a chemical to the cervix. The blood, or the chemical, or a combination of both can give you a colored discharge. If you have fever, pain or other signs of infection, have it checked out.
