An unusual sign: Bleeding from the tear duct is unusual if there has been no trauma to that area. If you are sure it is coming from the tear duct you should have an eye exam by an ophthalmologist. Calculi (sharp stones) and tumors of the duct can occur are rare but may cause bleeding from the duct.
