Structure v function: Ct looks for structure/anatomy problems ( tumors, malformations, pneumonia, & sometimes blood clot). Feeling you can't get air in could be a functional problem, like asthma, where anatomic changes are subtle & won't show on ct scan, but airways get intermittently tight & swollen inside, or problems that affect perception, such as anxiety, which can make you feel short of breath. See your doc to ck.
