No clear benefit: Citicoline is a precursor to phosphatidyl-choline in the brain, and was originally developed with the idea of reversing brain injuries from stroke or trauma. It has been touted as a chemical that can help memory loss and stroke recovery, and has been looked at in parkinson's and alzheimer's. Evidence is lacking for benefit, and can cause insomnia, nausea, diarrhea, and blood pressure changes.
