Yes: Try prayer! god works wonders. Once i prayed for a patient who's wheelchaired- bound for 10 yrs. He suddenly stood up and now is walking with a cane. This happened 6 months ago. I believe this was a miracle! true story!

Depends: Massage can be helpful after a stroke for some patients to help with tactile stimulation and to decrease muscle spasm. Care needs to be taken, however, because some people may be prone to increased spasm/spasticity.
