Cannot diagnose: Without an exam it is very difficult to know what is in your ear, but generally obstruction to the eustacian tube may produce pain, and anything helping to ease the pressure on either side of the eardrum may be helpful. Have you tried a decongestant like pseudoephedrine? Good luck.

Possible perforation: I would be very concerned that you ruptured or perforated your eardrum. You should see your doctor to have him/her look into your ear and if it is ruptured, you may need to see an ear specialist to repair it.
