I was taking linzess and it worked great, but, insurance will no longer cover the cost and it is expensive. is there a cheaper med that works similar?

Amitiza (lubiprostone): An equivalent medication would be amitiza (lubiprostone). Check with your doctor to see if it is right for you and if your insurance will cover it. Alternatively your doctor can ask for special authorization for you for linzess.
