DIARRHEA In Children: Most important thing: pedialyte, the solution which has the same electrolyte content being lost in diarrheal stool and vomitus. Give equal amount for each diarrhea or vomiting. Second: remember 'brat', stands for banana, rice, applesauce, toast. These are the common food items you give in diarrhea. Can give yogurt, chicken, soup, crackers. Avoid too much juice, fried/ greasy food.
