NSAIDS vs Opioid : Toradol is an anti-inflammatory medication producing analgesia, used for acute (recent) pains, can't be used for over 5 days. Half life (when quantity falls by half from beginning of intake) aboit 5 hrs. Tramadol is in the opioid family, binds to mu receptor, inhibits norepinephrine/ serotonin reuptake producing analgesia, half life is about 8 hrs.
