Likely nothing: If transient sensation only after you cough, you are likely getting benign irritation of the intercostal nerves (the ones that travel between the ribs) with the activity of coughing. This is like tapping the 'funny bone' in your arm- the nerve is temporarily stunned and fires off, but not injured.
