A member asked:

8 years. no symptoms, no hpv and normal cbc. still a high risk for hiv?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

What are you asking?: Your risk for acquiring HIV depends on your behaviors -- unprotected risky sex, sharing needles. If you had a contact that you worry about eight years ago, it's time to clench your teeth, be very brave, and get tested if you've not been already -- your chance of being infected with a negative test is almost zero. If "no hpv" means "hiv-negative" then you're fine. To be brave, act brave.
