A member asked:

2+ leucocytes in the urine. what does this mean?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Leukocytes = WBCs: White blood cells in the urine indicate that an inflammatory or immune system reaction is taking place. Labs use a scale of 0 (none) to 4+ (heavy content) to rate the relative number of wbcs. Sometimes tntc (too numerous to count) is used instead of 4+. Without more information, in terms of other urine or laboratory markers, symptoms, etc. That is about all one can say with regard to this.
