A member asked:

Is air coming out of vagina after childbirth dangerous?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Probably not: You need to see your provider to be sure. If you are talking about right after childbirth, the vagina was open and especially if you had a repair, may have some air that is coming out. If it has been a while (more than a few days), you may have a hole between your rectum and your vagina, which would need to be fixed at some point (sometimes we wait a few months to see if it will heal).
