If visible: Is called superficial thrombophlebitis. While i would highly suggest anyone with the condition to see a physician as occasionally the deep veins can be involved too, the treatment is simple: compression, keep walking and nsaids drugs. Again, this does not preclude seeing a physician which is a must!
