How much did the thyroid biopsy hurt?

Depends: Usually throud biopsies are not painful. The doctor will numb the skin over the site of biopsy and use very skinny needles to perform the biopsy. Occasionally, when there is an inflammatory condition in the thyroid the biopsies can be uncomfortable.
