A doctor has provided 1 answer

Survival rate : Of people that receive initial emergency treatment by ambulance is less than 5%, with 15% returning to spontaneous circulation. With defibrillation within 3-5mins the survival can increase to 30%. Survival depend on the cause of the arrest, circumstances, age. Every minute without oxygen to the organs, specially the brain, decrease the recovery without permanent damage.
