Depends: Like any other trauma to the body, it depends on how severe it is. For you, specifically, these types of lesions usually heal in about a week or two. If this is a recurring problem, ask your dentist/oral surgeon to remove the frenulum, and then you'll never have to worry about it again. That's a pretty easy procedure nowadays in most cases.
