I have a tongue frenulum piercing & it's swollen, red, and it hurts to move my tongue. i've had it for months & this happens. peroxide helps sometimes?

May be an infection: or perhaps a nickel allergy or metal allergy. I would have dermatologist look at it to verify and treat depending on cause. Likely you will need to remove pierce and at least consider different metal. Hope that helps

Infection possible: Redness, pain and swelling are common symptoms of infection. Since the tongue is a delicate area, it is possble that minor trauma to the area could be producing these symptoms, but they should not last very long.
