How long does it take gingivitis to turn into advanced periodontits?

Maybe never: Not all gingivitis turns into periodontitis but you should address the gingivitis because this is an inflamation of the gums. The diffrence between the two is bone loss. Don't wait till you have bone loss. See a dentist and have it taken care of.

Not too long: It could be as quick as just between dental visits. At one six-month checkup your dentist could tell you to watch out, and by the next visit, it could be progressing into the more advanced form of disease.
