Need evaluation : The bony hard lump could be an exaggerated part of your normal anatomy or a displaced fracture or tumor. A physical examination is needed.

Many Possibilities: There are several things that could explain your situation, but i think all of them would require a physical examination to obtain some appropriate direction. Normal variation of anatomy, muscle spasm (trigger point), cyst, tumor, etc are all possible explanations.
