No: No this is not normal. The tingling could be do to nerve damage or impinging nerve between bone or more. See your physician for a proper work up and treatment. There could be more going on.

Multiple injuries: Fracture ( broken back) is something that was visible on x rays but you probably had multiple other injuries to soft tissues that x rays do not show. See a pain management specialist.
